The Waterproof Seal

Waterproof begins
at the zipper.

The sealing zipper is essential to the Phone Pouch's protection. Check the zipper track and fully close the pull before entering the water.

Good to know

The Phone Pouch includes a small zipper lubricant, just like the Crossbody. Keep sand and debris out of the track, and use the supplied lubricant according to the included instructions.

01
Before the Water

Close it completely.

Pull the zipper fully to the end of its track. A partially closed zipper can compromise the waterproof seal.

→
02
Protect the Seal

Keep the track clear.

Before use, make sure no dirt or sand can interrupt the seal. Never force a jammed zipper.

03
After the Water

Care for the closure.

Clean the zipper track and periodically apply the included zipper lubricant as directed to help it operate smoothly. Always check that the pouch is fully sealed before water exposure.

Questions, Answered

Before you
hit the water.

Everything to know about the Phone Pouch's rating, test depth, zipper, fit and care.

Is the SKÖ Phone Pouch actually waterproof?

The pouch is IPX8 rated and has been separately tested by SKÖ to depths up to 50 feet so far. Completely seal and inspect the zipper before use.

Does IPX8 guarantee waterproofing to 50 feet?

No. IPX8 ratings use product-specific conditions. SKÖ's 50-foot depth test is separate and does not guarantee performance at every depth, duration or pressure.

Can I use it while swimming or paddleboarding?

The pouch is designed for activities around and in water. Ensure the zipper is properly sealed and check the pouch before every use.

Can I scuba dive with it?

A 50-foot depth test does not establish a comprehensive scuba or pressure-equipment certification. Do not interpret that test as a guarantee for diving conditions.

Can I use my touchscreen through the pouch?

No. The Phone Pouch has an opaque exterior, not a clear touchscreen window. Remove your phone from the pouch to use its screen or camera.

What phone sizes fit inside?

Fit varies by phone model and case. Exact internal measurements and fit guidance are still being verified, so do not assume every oversized phone will fit.

How do I maintain the zipper?

Keep the sealing track clean and free of sand or debris. Your Phone Pouch includes a small zipper lubricant, which you can apply as directed to help maintain smooth zipper operation. Always close the zipper completely before entering the water.

Which colors can I choose?

Matte Black, Olive Green and Stone Gray. Select your preferred color using the options above.
