Water
First.
We design around water from the beginning, not as a feature added at the end.
We build waterproof gear for people who go toward the water, the weather, and the places ordinary gear wasn't made to follow.
WHY WE BUILDSome of the best places don't come with dry conditions.
Rivers. Coastlines. Canyons. Open water. Sudden weather. The moments worth remembering rarely happen because everything went exactly as planned.
We believe your gear should give you one less reason to turn around.
Neither should your gear depend on them.
We don't believe water protection should be an afterthought. SKÖ gear begins with the environments we want to take it into, then works backward from there.
We design around water from the beginning, not as a feature added at the end.
Every detail should have a reason to be there. Protection, function, and simplicity come before unnecessary complexity.
Gear belongs outside. Around water. On the trail. In the canyon. Wherever the day actually takes you.
SKÖ started with a simple frustration: the gear we carried wasn't built for the places we wanted to take it.
For founder Dr. Larry Andrew and his family, the outdoors were already part of life. Hiking, camping, hunting, canyoneering, water, and the rugged landscapes of Utah exposed the same problem again and again.
When the adventure got wet, rough, or unpredictable, ordinary gear became something you had to protect instead of something that protected what mattered.
So we started building something different.
For the people who see water, weather, distance, and difficult terrain as part of the story.
Because the point isn't to keep your gear pristine. The point is to use it somewhere worth remembering.
Go in.
Stay out longer.
Bring what matters.
We don't know where your next adventure will take you. That's the point.
We'll keep building gear for the water, the weather, the unexpected, and whatever comes after the shoreline.
