SKÖ vs lululemon
Everywhere Belt Bag 1L
These two bags are almost identical in exterior size, but they are designed around very different priorities. SKÖ is a waterproof crossbody built to protect valuables around real water. lululemon's Everywhere Belt Bag 1L is a lower-priced, water-repellent everyday bag built around casual carry, quick access and pocket organization.
SKÖ Gear publishes this comparison and manufactures the SKÖ Waterproof Crossbody. We use current manufacturer-published specifications, identify where information is not published and call out categories where lululemon has the advantage. No independent lab test of the lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag was performed for this article. Prices, materials and availability can change.
Waterproof protection or everyday versatility?
Choose SKÖ if water protection is the reason you are buying the bag. Choose lululemon if you primarily want an affordable 1-liter everyday bag for errands, travel, casual wear and organized access to small essentials.

Waterproof and water-repellent are not the same thing.
SKÖ publishes an IP68 designation for its Waterproof Crossbody and uses a waterproof zipper. lululemon describes the Everywhere Belt Bag 1L fabric as water-repellent.
lululemon's current product page does not publish an IP rating, immersion depth or immersion duration for the Everywhere Belt Bag. That means there is no manufacturer-published basis for treating it as an immersion-ready waterproof enclosure.
Water-repellent fabric can still be useful. It makes sense for normal everyday conditions where the concern is light rain or an incidental splash. That is simply a different requirement from paddling, boating or situations where a bag may actually enter the water.
We would not label the lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag waterproof based on its current published specifications. We also would not convert SKÖ's IP68 designation into an invented depth-and-duration figure when SKÖ does not currently publish one.
Published ingress-protection designation paired with a waterproof zipper and TPU construction.
Published as water-repellent fabric rather than as an IP-rated waterproof enclosure.
Their exterior footprints are almost identical.
This is what makes the matchup interesting. Both bags sit at roughly 7.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep, yet their construction and intended environments are completely different.
The difference is only about 0.14 liter. Both belong in compact essentials territory.
lululemon is roughly 0.3 inch taller. Width and depth are effectively the same.
Neither product has a dramatic capacity advantage. The more useful question is what each brand does with nearly the same footprint.
lululemon dedicates part of the design to conventional pocket organization. SKÖ dedicates more of its construction to creating a sealed waterproof enclosure.
lululemon is the better everyday organizer.
lululemon publishes interior pockets plus an exterior zippered pocket. SKÖ keeps the interior simpler because its primary job is protecting compact valuables around water.
Simple storage with a sealed closure.
SKÖ is designed around putting your phone, wallet, keys and similar valuables inside one waterproof enclosure.
More separation for everyday essentials.
Interior pockets and an exterior zip pocket make it easier to separate items you access frequently throughout a normal day.
This is a legitimate lululemon advantage. If you repeatedly reach into your bag for earbuds, cards, keys or other small items, conventional pockets make daily access easier.
SKÖ's waterproof zipper also requires more deliberate operation than a standard fashion zipper because the zipper is part of the sealing system.
lululemon wins organization and quick everyday access. SKÖ wins the separate waterproofing category.
Technical waterproof construction versus everyday nylon.
SKÖ publishes a 1680D TPU construction. The Black/Black lululemon bag reviewed uses a recycled nylon body with recycled polyester lining and mesh.

A published technical material specification paired with a waterproof zipper and water-focused construction.
A soft everyday textile construction published as water-repellent rather than as a waterproof enclosure.
Material names alone do not establish universal durability. Zippers, seams, hardware, abrasion, load and how a bag is used all matter.
The clearer difference is purpose. SKÖ publishes a technical material and waterproof protection system. lululemon focuses on a lightweight-feeling everyday fabric, pocket organization and casual use.
lululemon starts as a belt bag. SKÖ starts as a crossbody.
Both keep small essentials close to the body, but the standard lululemon version publishes a 41.7-inch fully extended strap while SKÖ is designed around crossbody carry.
Purpose-built crossbody carry.
SKÖ is intended to keep your valuables close during paddling, travel, boating, beach days and wet outdoor activities.
Classic compact belt-bag format.
The Everywhere Belt Bag uses an adjustable strap and horizontal silhouette designed for casual everyday use.
lululemon also sells an Everywhere Belt Bag with Long Strap 1L. The current version publishes a 55.5-inch fully extended strap instead of the standard version's 41.7-inch strap.

Their sizes overlap heavily. Their intended environments do not.

| City travel | Depends | lululemon for organization; SKÖ for wet conditions |

lululemon costs $42 less.
SKÖ is charging for a different capability.
The standard Everywhere Belt Bag 1L was listed at $38 when reviewed. The SKÖ Waterproof Crossbody is $80.
If your bag will mostly live at coffee shops, airports, grocery stores, gyms and normal daily activities, lululemon is easier to justify on price. You get a compact 1-liter format, conventional organization and water-repellent fabric for less than half the SKÖ price.
If you are shopping specifically because you do not want your phone, wallet or keys exposed around serious water, the products stop being functionally equivalent. SKÖ's higher price buys its published IP68 designation, waterproof zipper, 1680D TPU construction and water-first design.
Which one should you buy?
